How we do business
We believe that a business can be sustainable and responsible as well as efficient and profitable. Through a variety of sustainability initiatives, Lumentum is reducing our impact on the environment and developing environmentally responsible practices for all of our facilities, using guidelines from the EICC Code of Conduct, as well as the principles of ISO 14001. In addition, Lumentum employees are encouraged to make a difference at the local level in support of the company’s Community Involvement initiative.
What we expect from our facilities and our suppliers
As part of our compliance with the EICC Code of Conduct, Lumentum is committed to safe work environments, ethical labor practices, elimination of conflict minerals from our products, and transparency throughout our supply chain. We expect the same high levels of commitment from our partners and suppliers.
Lumentum and the EICC code of conduct
As part of our commitment to conforming to the EICC code of conduct, Lumentum contracted the services of Environmental and Occupational Risk Management, Inc. (EORM), an environmental health and safety and sustainability consulting firm with over 20 years of experience in auditing and assisting companies with managing risk and achieving EHS compliance and excellence.
EORM facilitated self-assessments to the EICC Code of Conduct for Lumentum facilities in the following key areas: Environmental, Safety, Labor/Ethics, Management Systems, and Conflict Minerals. EORM also performed a company-wide third-party review of Lumentum systems and processes.
As a result of this assessment, EORM and Lumentum agree that Lumentum stands in substantial compliance with the principles of the EICC Code of Conduct.
