Our Guiding Principles
Our Guiding Principles—Innovate, Engage, Deliver, Excel, and Win—are the core values that drive our decision making, which consequently determines our overall performance and shapes our culture. We dedicate ourselves to applying these principles through our work, our actions, and the conversations we have with all our stakeholders.
Our CSR Committee develops corporate social responsibility strategy and drives performance within Lumentum. Led by the CSR Council Chair and the Executive Sponsor, the cross-functional team is comprised of representatives from all our business departments, including HR, EHS, Supply Chain, Legal, and Quality, as well as leaders from each business unit. Each member serves as a representative of their respective department and is responsible for determining the relevance of emerging topics, developing associated action plans, and disseminating information related to CSR at Lumentum to their teams.
Activities from the CSR Committee are reported to the CEO and Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. The Governance Committee is responsible for oversight of risk management and consistent review of the policies and programs supporting our CSR strategy. The Board nominates a CSR Liaison who works closely with the CSR Committee to guide efforts and provide continuous feedback.
Finally, the EHS department and the CSR and Compliance department manage CSR issues on a daily basis. Activities such as supplier responsibility and product compliance are managed by the CSR and Compliance team, while environmental impacts, such as greenhouse gas emissions and water use, are managed by EHS.
